The home owner was relocating from the Los Angeles area to Austin. She purchased a nice home set in a lovely north Austin neighborhood.

But the house needed top-to-bottom improvements.

We worked with her to develop a plan and budget and went to work. She flew into Austin once a month for meetings and to make decisions; otherwise, we kept her up-to-date via phone, email, and progress photos.

While rebuilding the master suite upstairs, we opened up the walls and took the opportunity to spray foam insulation against the roof decking.  What an immediate difference this made in comfort and reduced energy bills!  Other energy improvements included installing all new low-E windows and doors and sealing existing air conditioning ducts.  Altogether, we earned a 3-star rating from the Austin Energy Green Building Program.

The whole house got a facelift. New kitchen. New office. New exercise room and laundry transformed from an old potting shed. New deck. New floors. New appliances and fixtures. New closets. New landscaping.

The result:  A home that is beautiful, comfortable, and richly satisfying for the owner. And we made a new friend in the process.
